Description
The first part of the stage runs through the Sierra de Atapuerca, where the most important fossil site in Europe is located. After the modest peak of the mountain range and beyond Orbaneja, the second part of the stage is the entrance to the city of Burgos, crossing the long industrial park.
For bicycles, the climb past Atapuerca is complicated due to the number of stones. However, there is no alternative without taking a long detour.
