Description
Easy stage with few slopes. It runs mostly along long forest tracks, between eucalyptus forests and meadows.
(1)Arzúa-(2)Calzada: 0-5,9 (5,9 km)
We leave Arzúa along Rua do Carme, which leads us to a small road (photo 1) that becomes a path (photo 2) until we reach the small village of Pregontoño (photo 3). We bypass Pregontoño, cross the N-547 through a tunnel (photo 4), and continue to the small village of A Peroxa (photo 5). We exit through a small road until, following the arrows, we turn right (photo 6) along a small path between trees (photo 7) that leads us to Calzada (photo 8).
(2)Calzada-(3)O Empalme: 5,9-15 (9,1 km)
We cross A Calzada and continue on the same small road to O Outeiro (photo 9). We cross O Outeiro on the same road (photo 10) until we reach Boavista, where we leave the road for a path between tall trees (photo 11). Following the Camino arrows (photo 12), we reach Salceda and then the N-547 again (photo 13), which we leave after a few meters (photo 14). This path (photo 15) takes us to cross the road a couple of times until at km 13.6 (photo 16), we continue parallel to the Alto de Santa Irene, also known as O Empalme (photo 17).
(3)O Empalme-(4)O Pedrouzo: 15-18,9 (3,9 km)
We leave the Alto de Santa Irene by the road and, descending, pass by the Santa Irene hostel after a kilometer. After the hostel, we leave the road via a path to the right, which takes us across the road and back (photo 18), already at the entrance to O Pedrouzo. If we don't want to spend the night in O Pedrouzo, we can continue along the path between trees (photo 19). If we want to stop in O Pedrouzo, we take the road that leads to the main street of O Pedrouzo, where several hostels are available.
