Just 500 metres outside of El Cubo de la Tierra del Vino the trail leaves the road on the left (photo 1) and runs along an old railroad track for 5.2 km (photo 2).

The road is well marked between vine and wheat fields (photos 3 and 4) until the entrance to Villanueva de Campeán.
