17.Castro Dozon-A Laxe

We leave the hostel of Castro Dozón following the N-525 from which we arrived to the Alto de Santo Domingo (700m) (photo 1 km 3.3) which we will find just at the entrance of the town which has the same name.

We continue along the highway until km 4.2 (photo 2) where the camino leaves the highway onto the right to a dirt track. We follow the track until the small town of Puxallos where we will see a statue of Santiago Perigrino (photo 3 km 5.9). We cross the town and continue along the same dirt track by which we arrived which we follow until the AP-53 motorway (photo 4 km 7.3) which we cross over a bridge.

Now on the other side of the motorway we follow the dirt track which leads to the small town of Pontenoufe and at km 9.5 (photo 5) the town of Xesta.

We leave the town of Xesta crossing a bridge over the AVE tracks and continue until the path arrives at the PO-534 highway from where we will travel just 100 metres uphill to the town of Reguengo and continue until Baxan (km 13).

We return to cross the AVE tracks and continue with the way to our left until the small village of Botos (km 14). From there we follow a small tarmacadam road (photo 6 km 14.5) until we arrive to the town of Donsión (photo 7 km 16.1).

We follow the path until we get to the N-525 and continue along a way parallel for 500 metres until we cross it, and after a few metres arrive at the hostel of A Laxe.
