Stage Description
This stage mainly consists of ups and downs along paths surrounded by vegetation. In Arzúa, pilgrims from the Camino del Norte join the route.
(1)Melide-(2)Boente: 0-5.5 km
Following the arrows, we leave Melide along a small path skirting the cemetery (photo 1), leading to the crossing of the N-547 road (photo 2). We continue straight but soon turn right to enter Santa María de Melide (photo 3). We leave the small village via a narrow road (photo 4), which turns into a path through vegetation (photo 5), bringing us to the N-547 (photo 6). We follow it briefly before turning left onto a beautiful path (photo 7) until we reach Boente.
(2)Boente-(3)Castañeda: 5.5-7.5 km (2 km)
Boente is crossed by the N-547, which we follow for a few meters before turning right past the Church of Santiago (photo 8). We enter a tree-lined path (photo 9) that leads us to cross the N-547, then return to the road and continue parallel to it. Following the arrows, we leave the road by turning left and enter Castañeda (photo 10).
(3)Castañeda-(4)Ribadiso da Baixo: 7.5-10.8 km (3.3 km)
We continue along small roads (photo 11) and paths (photo 12) until we reach the N-547, which we cross via a bridge (photo 13). We keep walking straight and reach the small village of Ribadiso.
(4)Ribadiso da Baixo-(5)Arzúa: 10.8-13.9 km (3.1 km)
We cross Ribadiso and arrive near the N-547 (photo 14), which we cross again to take a local road (photo 15). This leads us back to the N-547 (photo 16), which takes us to Arzúa (photo 17). In Arzúa, pilgrims from the Camino del Norte join us.
