Description
This stage follows the N-120 road for most of the route, although it veers away from the road before reaching León.
(1) Mansilla de las Mulas-(2) Villamoros: 0-4.1 km
We leave Mansilla, crossing the Esla River (photo 1) and return to the path along the N-120 (photo 2) until we reach Villamoros (photo 3).
(2) Villamoros-(3) Puente de Villarente: 4.1-5.9 (1.8 km)
We pass through Villamoros, following the N-120, and continue along the road to Puente de Villarente (photo 4).
(3) Puente de Villarente-(4) Alcahuela: 5.9-10.2 (4.3 km)
After crossing Puente de Villarente, we continue along the road until km 7.2, where we finally leave the road by taking a path on the right (photo 5). Now slightly away from the road but still more or less parallel, we follow a dirt track (photos 6, 7, and 8). At km 12.7 (photo 9), in an industrial area, the dirt path leads to a small road that we follow to the left, which takes us back to the main road. This road will take us into León, where we will find signs indicating the location of the two hostels (photo 10).
