Description

This is the toughest stage of the English Way. Upon leaving Betanzos, you'll encounter a steep 1.2 km climb. The rest of the route consists of ups and downs through beautiful scenery. You won't pass through any villages, only scattered houses.

At kilometer 7.7, it is recommended to take the green-marked variant. It's more picturesque and, most importantly, avoids some dangerous sections of the road.

At kilometer 20.3, it is also recommended to take the green-marked variant, which is more scenic and avoids stretches of road.

There are very few services on this stage. There are two bars, Bar Carabel (km 8.5) and Bar Avelina (km 21.2), although if you take the variants, you won't pass by either of them.

There are several bars and restaurants along the stage, marked on the map. At the end of the stage, we have the Casa Graña restaurant, which offers pilgrim menus.

If we take a 1.5 km detour past the end of the stage, we reach the village of O Meson do Vento, where there are three accommodations and various services.
